Danfoss Power Solutions Completes Acquisition of Hydro Holding Spa

With Hydro Holding on board, Danfoss gains a competitive, local fittings production base in Italy and the Czech Republic, as well as 350 highly experienced and customer-focused employees. “We’re pleased to welcome Hydro Holding employees to Danfoss Power Solutions. This talented team will help us accelerate growth and strengthen our global leadership in fluid conveyance. Together, we will deliver unmatched hose and fittings solutions to the European market,“ said Daniel Winter, president, Danfoss Power Solutions. Hydro Holding is a manufacturer of hose fittings headquartered in Castello d’Argile, Italy. The company’s carbon steel and stainless steel fittings, adapters, and hose assemblies complement and expand the Danfoss portfolio of hoses and fittings, providing customers of both companies with a broader range of options. “With Hydro Holding joining Danfoss, we complete the foundation for our new European fittings platform. Hydro Holding gives us a strong and scalable base in Italy and the Czech Republic, strengthening our ability to serve OEMs and distributors with local production, competitive cost structures, and fast response times. The combination of our hose portfolio with Hydro Holding’s fittings expertise allows us to offer a complete, differentiated solution to Europe,” said Domenico Traverso, president, fluid conveyance, Danfoss Power Solutions. Hydro Holding will be integrated into Danfoss Power Solutions’ fluid conveyance division as a new business unit (BU) named Hydro. Stefano Bordegnoni, who has served as CEO of Hydro Holding since May 2024, will lead the newly formed business unit. Bordegnoni has been named vice president, Hydro, reporting to Traverso. Bordegnoni brings a distinguished track record in industrial manufacturing, engineering innovation, and global growth leadership to his role at Danfoss. Before joining Hydro Holding, he was managing director of the Healthcare Automation Division at Brooks Automation, a leading provider of automated solutions for the semiconductor industry. Prior to that, he served as CEO at Inpeco and as senior vice president at Schneider Electric in Singapore. Bordegnoni holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Genoa, Italy, and has filed patents in advanced industrial automation.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">“This is an exciting day for the Hydro Holding team and myself. Product ranges include hydraulic, industrial, thermoplastic, engine, and air conditioning hoses and fittings; connectors and quick-disconnect couplings; and hose machines, tools, and accessories. The division’s annual sales reached EUR 1.2 billion in 2024. With the addition of Hydro Holding’s 350 employees, Fluid Conveyance will have approximately 5,650 employees.</span></p>
